There are the javelin-throwing Imperial Legionaries, the relentless Mameluke Palace Guards, and the
In Mount&Blade, the player will generally rely upon their war party to carry fights that they and their companions alone would not be capable of handling. Understanding the differences between the troops they can recruit and train, and how to command them to gain their fullest benefit, is the key to success as a military commander. This article compares only the top-tier versions of each type
Thankfully for the Khuzait, the Steppe Bandits and Khuzait share a key and dangerous attribute: Horse archery, led by the Khuzait Tribal Warrior, a tier 2 unit already equipped with a horse and bow.
Every single Khergit soldier from Tier 2 comes with a horse. Swadian [] The Swadian Knights are arguably the single best cavalry unit in the game, sporting the heaviest armor, the heaviest horses and the longest lances while also wielding swords and shields for close combat, they are more or less unmatched in every single area of mounted combat.
From what I have read from the FAQ of the mod the factions are all pretty much the same, and it is meant to be that way. You are limited to 10 Unsullied units though, because despite the fact that no army without calvary during the time period the books represent ever won a battle, George R. R. Martin has a hard on for Spartans *you know that is who they represent*.
Legionaries and Gladiators are good, probably better than the Ravenstern infantry. Empire Armored Pikemen are okay, but spawn with a terrible Awlpike half the time. Better when they have a halberd. Sarleon: Most of their stuff is pretty middle of the road. Sarleon Halberdiers are heavy hitting, albeit squishy infantry.
sXyZN. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Best dps is 2h Axe. Charge on foot with your infantry in big battles and your kill rate will be so high you will be terrified! Cleave cleave and cleave until you can do no more! Other weapons can only kill one enemy per swing. So I always use 2h axes in combat.
Yup it's handy if you see a large army coming to join them and win the siege before that happens. I mostly use the chance to kill their men rather than destroy the siege equipment, some of their strongest units are there without their horses so ducks in a barrel, also when they have something like a battering ram during the siege attack they often group up behind it, hop on one of your
Swadians. Kherghits (most balanced) Best to worst on sieges: Nords. Rhodoks (most balanced) Khergits (shitty infantry, but you and companions defending on the ladder and a lot of Marksman, oh boy) [deleted] • 6 yr. ago • Edited 6 yr. ago. Khergits are the best faction if you are playing horse archer.
Imperial Palatine Guards are one of the two best options for ranged combat in the Imperial Faction. They are narrowly better than the Imperial Sergeant Crossbowman due to the increased firing speed of bows. Fairly accurate, solid ranged units. Reasonably well armored for Archers. Not bad in a melee fight if they have to be in one.
In fact Swadian Knights are probably the best unit in the game period, even dismounted they are only beaten by a few units. Swadian Sergeants usually beat Rhodok Sergeants but are less effective defensively, and are overall probably the second strongest infantry unit in the game.
